Lucas Jackson

Director of Documentary & Editorial

Lucas Jackson grew up on a New Mexico cattle ranch, graduating salutatorian of a class of 17 before earning a Mathematics degree from Lewis & Clark College. He worked as an Alaskan salmon fisherman, a rugged start that shaped his storytelling.

For 15 years at Reuters, Jackson’s camera captured wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, climate change in Greenland, and Ferguson’s unrest. His sharp coverage of Olympics and political campaigns earned National Press Photographers Association awards, marking him as a top visual journalist.

As Amazon’s Creative Director of Photography, he led filmmaking for global campaigns, blending research and craft to create compelling, human-focused stories.

For nearly 20 years, Jackson has mentored young filmmakers at the Eddie Adams Workshop, sharing his drive and insight. Now, as Storyteller’s Director of Documentary and Editorial, he leads a team producing documentaries and campaigns, combining journalism and film to elevate voices.

At home, Jackson is a delightfully exhausted father to three wild, wonderful boys—a role that, like his photography, demands patience, humor, and an unwavering sense of perspective.

Tommy Howard

Development Director, Documentary & Editorial

Tommy traded cows for palm trees when he moved from Springfield, IL to LA 10 years ago. He got his start in front of the camera, but quickly pivoted to the production side, cutting his teeth in physical production on commercials, music videos, and spec scripts.

He then moved on to development at The H Collective, where he worked on The Parts You Lose (Aaron Paul) and Brightburn (James Gunn, via Sony). Eventually, he landed at Ignition Creative, producing and directing award-winning trailers and campaigns for some of Hollywood’s biggest films.

He’s a self-proclaimed “Jack of all trades”. Whatever he's working on, expect creativity, drive, and a smile that says he’s all in.
